Place eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl and whisk to combine.
Slice cake donuts in half. Soak donuts in egg mixture, turning at least once so evenly moist. Heat butter in large frying pan over medium heat. Gently place donuts in frying pan cooking each side until golden. Arrange on plate with berries, maple syrup and a dusting of icing sugar.
